Chairman’s Message

Tusa Sardar was a great freedom fighter known as Kol Vidrohi; leader of Thai Pier of West Singhbhum, Jharkhand. As I belong to village Chititmiti of Thai Pier, it is a great privilege to have a school named after TUSA SARDAR (Sawaiyan). Late Sri Kailash Prasad Ex-MLA, Mr. Patar Swaiyan and villagers gave valuable contributions to establish 1st English medium school at Chitimiti in 1st June 2000 and than 2nd school at village Kokcho in 17th September 2002. During my visit to America, Germany, France and UK for Technical studies, I learned about basic educational system. I personally felt that the English education is a basic need for which villagers and poor people are deprived off. No English Medium educational institutes come up to the village level, I have taken up this challenging task with great courage. I am happy to say that with limited resources and local teachers who are socially motivated are doing a great job.

Besides education, students also have taken part in cultural programs conducted by District Administration Chaibasa on occasion of Independence Day in 2001 and stood 2nd and again in 2002 stood third. Our students also got appreciation from chief minister Mr. Madhu Koda for Drama play “Yes Chief Minister” on the occasion of ‘Upurum Jumur 2007’.

Seeing its growth and need for proper management I handed over the management to TSPS School management team. In 2005 Management team started functioning under the leadership of Mr. Deepak Tubid and suggested to have school at Chaibasa with a research and training wing. On March 2008, with the support from Adivasi Medical Research Centre our new branch at Chaibasa opened. I have a dream of joining villages and villagers with the towns and cities through a network of the educational institutions. There is a success where there is will power. Let your child be groomed with TUSA SARDAR School as good human beings and for a bright and prosperous future.

Mr. J. N. Tiu
